Staticmagnetic Field Enhances Natural Killer Cells Cytotoxicity By Increasing Viability of The Cells

Abstract
The aim of this study was to testwhether or not a static magnetic field (SMF) can enhance the killing ability of natural killer (NK) cells.In this study, NK92-MI cell lines were cultured with a 0.4-T SMF. The SMF effect on the cell viability was tested using MTT method. Cell viability was also checked when the K562 leukemia cell were cultured with SMF. The SMF effect on NK92-MI cell cytotoxicity was evaluated by co-culture K562 leukemia cell line as a target cell. Our results showed that the SMFhas positive effect on NK92-MI cell viability. In addition, SMF pre-exposure significantly improve the killing activity of NK92-MI cells (p < 0.05). Keywords- Static magnetic field, Natural Killer Cells, MAPK, Cancer Therapy
