Classification of Student Expectations by Using Kano & AHP Model: A Case Study

Abstract
The quality of university education needs to be appropriate for increasing the quality of human resources. Accordingly, it is important to consider the student's needs and expectations then to carry out an appropriate curriculum. In this paper, student expectations and their importance levels are classified by using Kano Model and Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP). Firstly, a focus group of 156 students are chosen from Industrial Engineering Department/GaziantepUniversityand a questionnaire is applied. Later, Kano model is utilized for classification and finally AHP is used for determining the importance of each class of expectation. The results of this study can be used in order to analyze improve the quality of education given by the department. Index Terms - Analytical Hierarchy Process, Kano Model, Gaziantep University.
