Scientific Research for the Theory of ‘Heart Controls Blood Vessels’ in Traditional Korean Medicine

Abstract
Visceral manifestation based on Yinyang and Five Elements thought is the theory for several parts of traditional Korean medicine; physics, pathology, diagnosis. However, there was no scientific verification for that theory. ‘Heart Control Blood Vessel’ out of visceral manifestation is that there is close relation between heart and blood vessel but there also was no scientific verification for that relation in traditional Korean medicine. Therefore, we need scientific verification for ‘Heart Control Blood Vessel’ out of visceral manifestation Methods - assignment: Relations between emotion-heart-blood be verified ; 1st detailed assignment - Verifying relations between heart-blood vessel, 2nd detailed assignment ; Verifying relation between emotion-heart. As a result, ‘Heart Control Blood Vessel’ theory would be identified by 1st and 2nd detailed assignment Results :Change of emotion causes change of heart status. Change of emotion is one of the factor which causes change of heart status. Emotion-Heart relation system would be constructed through measuring change of heart by change of emotion. Disease of human body causes change of blood vessel status. Change of blood vessel status was subscribed as 28 types in traditional Korean medicine. Change of blood vessel is based on change of heart status so change of blood vessel means change of heart status. Heart-Blood vessel relation system would be constructed through measuring change of blood vessel by Change of heart. Disease of human body causes change of blood vessel status through heart. If change of emotion had same mechanism as disease, we would make in vitro system process that disease of human body causes change of blood vessel status through heart. In addition, the basis for ‘Heart Control Blood Vessel’ is confirmed by standardization for process of heart-blood vessel relation. Conclusion :Emotion-heart system could digitize change of heart by emotion change. So blood vessel relation system based on heart change data could be made by emotion-heart relation system and basis for ‘Heart Control Blood Vessel’ could be made by Heart-blood vessel relation. As a result,‘Heart-blood vessel relation system’ could be basis for study of disease-heart relation and study in advance for meridian diagnosis.
