Paper Title
Futuristic Input Device Based On Gesture Recognition

Abstract
We propose a new hand gesture recognition technology using a gesture sensor array called FETSA (Flexible Epidermal Tactile Sensor Array). Currently, hand gesture recognition technologies such as EMG (Electromyography), MMG (Mechanomyograhy) and FSR (Force Sensitive Resistors)are being studied and EMG technology has already been commercialized. However, the above technologies are sometimes influenced by the surrounding environment and are inconvenient for users to wear, e.g. in terms of device size and wear location. Furthermore, the gesture recognition rate is not so good either using those technologies. In order to improve this inconvenience and gesture recognition rate, a new gesture recognition sensor based on strain gauge, FETSA has been developed. We compared the recognition rate of the FETSA with the commercial EMG sensor, MYO. As a result, the FETSA had a recognition error rate of 7.75%, less than twice the MYO recognition error rate of 17.5% (with the Default Calibration).FETSA is a future wearable device that can be applied as an input device in the fields of IoT (Internet of Things), entertainment, education and so on.
