Paper Title
Using Waste from Iron Mining in Grounding Systems to Reduce Earth Resistivity

Abstract
Mining iron ore from underground mines produces a lot of waste. This paper illustrates one method of using this waste in grounding systems. The material is used as a backfill for covering the grounding electrodes and conducting strip. The results presented show that this method not only reuses the iron mining waste but it reduces the earth resistivity and thus reducing the overall grounding resistance. Index Terms - Environmental safety, grounding resistance, mining waste, resistivity.
