Developing Package Prototype for Processed Sweet Potato Cracker Product in Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province, Thailand

Abstract
The objective of this research was to develop a package prototype for processed sweet potato cracker product in Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province, Thailand. The sample and population consisted of 3 groups: 3 packaging design professionals, 36 processed sweet potato cracker product manufacturers, and 200 consumers. The tools used in the research were interview, packaging prototype evaluation form, and questionnaires. The data was analyzed by using frequency, percentage, standard deviation and mode to be descriptively presented. From the research finding, it was found that all 3 groups were satisfied with the package prototype in terms of individual aspect as follows: 1. In terms of the packaging identity and value adding, the packaging can appropriately communicate the sweet potato products with the materials used being able to help create identity and add value, 2. In terms of style, beauty, and shape of the packaging, it is beautiful and appropriate with beautiful color, and attractive to buy, and 3. In terms of the usability. It is easy to hold and use and can protect the product from damage. The packaging prototype selected by the sample group was the 3rd type, the white paper bag with a hole for holding. When the product is placed inside the packaging, the product can be seen in the packaging with Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya uniqueness and details of the products including ingredient, nutrition, raw material source, story, expiration date, and manufacture date, of processed potato products manufacturer information.
