Portable Weather Monitoring Station
Rapid industrialization, automation, and transportation services have resulted in the pollution of the atmosphere, lithosphere and hydrosphere. The air and water borne diseases especially those affecting human beings are continuously exploding. Air pollution is one of the major sources for the health deterioration of the human population. To monitor such a kind of environment, low cost innovative technology is required to monitor and control the weather quality. This paper focuses on development of a portable, low power user friendly weather monitoring station. The design includes sensors, embedded platform and the flexibility to integrate with mobile based web applications. The parameters that are monitored in the station are carbon mono oxide, combustible gases, methane, propane, temperature humidity, atmospheric pressure and altitude.
