Paper Title
The Study Of The Influence Of Fleet Types And Crew Availability On Airline Crew Pairing

Abstract
The crew pairing problem (CPP) deals with the determination of a set of feasible pairings to cover each flight at least once with minimum cost, and at the same time satisfying all the rules and regulations governed by unions, airlines, and aviation authorities. CPP is crucial and critical to airlines because it is the most fundamental cost-determination procedure of airline crew scheduling, given that the crew cost ranks as the second highest expenditure, after fuel cost, for airlines. This paper studies the influence of the level of crew availability and fleet types on airline crew pairing. A new modelling approach is proposed and achieves reduction in part-time crew demand.
