Paper Title
Influence Of Dynamic Amplification Factor On Response Of Steel Highway Bridge
Abstract
Dynamic Amplification Factor (DAF) used for considering the effect of moving vehicle on the bridge is one of the critical parameters in design and evaluation of highway bridges. Accurate evaluation of the DAF guides to safe and economical design. It is also complicated as dynamic response belong to number of parameters. Analytically, it is difficult to account for all parameter with accuracy as they are coupled and undetermined, in different forms and values of DAF are specified by different bridge design codes. There is therefore an urgent need to develop more accurate methods to find DAF. Till now, no rational evaluation method has been found to calculate DAF under moving vehicle on the bridge. This paper aims to present the analytical investigation carried out to find the effect of DAF on bridge using CSI bridge- SAP2000.The objective of this study is to analyze the static and dynamic behaviour of Steel I girder and Concrete decks bridge caused by the vehicular loading IRC Class AA loading with different vehicle velocity. DAF factors are evaluated considering different span length of highway bridge and its influence on Steel highway bridges.
