Paper Title
Vehicular Speed Management in Smart-Cities

Abstract
In this work, we propose a novel agile traffic control framework that allows traffic authorities to have more flexibility to manage the roads in particular areas based on the surrounding environmental/traffic conditions. The framework aims at providing an invehicle wireless receiver to inform the driver about the speed limit within the area he/she is in. By having the vehicle speed and the speed limits available, on board smartphones can be used to detect particular conditions such as congestions, accidents or defects in the roads. Moreover, the system extrapolates from these new and other previously available observations to predict an optimal speed limit. In this fashion, the framework is able to continuously adapt and learn autonomously to manage efficient and safe transportation. Index Terms- Smart city framework, WSNs, dynamic speed management.
