Paper Title
Design And Simulation of Recuperator For Hot Stoves
Abstract
In this study a unique recuperator was designed in order to increase the combustion air temperature entering into hot stove for recovering the heat from flue gas of hot stoves. Recuperator thermal calculations were performed for different flow arrangement to determine the most profitable flow option in terms of heat transfer surface area (AR), recovered heat and investment cost. At the second step, Mr. Strelows static simulation model was used to determine the outlet temperatures of hot and cold flows and temperature distribution in entire recuperator for the steady state condition independent from time variable for different flow arrangements. Results of the simulations were demonstrated via curves and evaluated in terms of heat transfer rate, outlet temperatures and required AR.
