Paper Title
Loading Decision Of Batch Processors For Minimizing Tardiness

Abstract
A batch processor is capable of processing several jobs at the same time up to their capacities. When a batch processor completes its job and there are jobs waiting in the queue, a loading decision should be made whether it starts processing a batch of jobs immediately or waits for more jobs to arrive before initiating a batch service. This paper addresses loading decision problem for batch processors with the objective of tardiness minimization. We presents a loading procedure where due-date information of the jobs are considered. Simulation experiments are performed to validate the performance of the proposed model. Index Terms- batch processor, loading decision, batching, tardiness minimization.
