Revamping Higher Education in Bangladesh
Abstract
Bangladesh is a human resource export country. This country must not miss the opportunity to get an access to the competitive regional and global employment market. A large number of young is now interested to receive higher education. Challenges of the nation are to give them opportunity to avail higher education and to ensure quality education. Increasing number of higher education institutions and providing students to seamless access to high-quality content from universities through the Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) model, can be the panacea for a large number of students to get access to higher education. Giving permission to top private universities to start PhD programes will result in increasing the number of PhD teachers in future. Shifting from traditional education to widely adopted outcome-based education will enable universities to produce graduates that have more market acceptability at home and abroad.
