Sampling Plan for Processes With Asymmetric Tolerances
Abstract
Sampling plan for product acceptance determination is a very important and practical tool applied in typical quality control applications.The methods for sampling plans for product acceptance determination have been investigated extensively. However, within the extensive literature on the product acceptance determination problems, comparatively little investigation has focus on the processes with asymmetric tolerances. In this paper, we present a sampling plan for product acceptance determination for processes with asymmetric tolerances based on the capability index . We tabulate critical values for variousdeparture ratios. In addition, we have three cases and show the corresponding required sample sizes and the critical acceptance values for various risks and risks. The computational results are very useful to the practitionerswhen they determine product acceptance for processes with asymmetric tolerances.
