Key Success Factors in Product Innovation

Abstract
Although companies heavily invest in product innovation, news media and industry publications report the success rates to be rather low. The types of challenges that companies tend to encounter range widely and cover almost every aspect of the long new product development process, starting from new product idea initiation to new product commercialization. In addition, there is not much empirical study to verify some of those challenges, especially in Asia. This study focuses on critical success factors in product innovation and offers specific recommendations as how to overcome those challenges.
