Evaluation Of Using Evotherm With Sbs Modification Interms Of Bitumen Properties
Recently styrene-butadiene-styrene (SBS) and Evotherm which is also used as warm mix additive are mostly used in bitumen modification to improve the performance of bituminous mixtures. Each of these additives affects the different properties of mixtures. There are limited studies in the literature about the combined usage of additive in the same mixture to utilize the different characteristics. In this study conventional rheological properties of bitumen modified with these additives were examined and compared with the base bitumen. The binders were prepared in 16 different combinations. In conclusion it was determined thatEvotherm additive can provide just a bit benefit on workability and hence it can show good resistance to low temperature cracking, however high temperature behavior is negatively affected by using Evotherm apart from SBS modification.
