Hips With Technology: A Peer Mentoring Journey

Abstract
While independently working on separate projects, the authors realized their common interest in technology-enhanced teaching was an opportunity to collaborate and form an informal mentor/mentee relationship. Seeing the potential for innovative teaching and learning in the classroom enriched by technology and High Impact Practices (HIPs), both authors embarked on a peer collaborative adventure that enhances their teaching practice, teaching beliefs, and professional growth. This article presents their collaboration as well as their students� work as examples. It calls upon institutions of higher education to invest time and resources to understand and support authentic professional development.
