ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE AS A TOOL IN THE TEACHING AND LEARNING PROCESS OF ENGLISH AS A FOREIGN LANGUAGE TO REINFORCE THE WRITING SKILL

Abstract
This paper addresses the topic of Artificial Intelligence as a tool that strengthens the teaching and learning process of English as a foreign language. Talking about AI is becoming very common in the field of education, since its use has demonstrated the impact on its development, through applications (apps) that make our lives easier and save effort, leading us as teachers to propose new ways of teaching and learning. In this sense, New Information Technologies have been immersed in the teaching and learning of languages, creating a need to update our teaching processes and adapt them to a congruence in the new ways of learning that students have in our societies today. Hence the fact of implementing new technologies and Artificial Intelligence in our processes is imperative. It is therefore proposed to promote the use of AI as a tool to support students in their English language learning process, through the Chat GPT application, adapted to the needs of teaching and learning a foreign language, and which is useful and effective in this regard.
