IMPACT OF INNOVATION ADOPTION ON EMPLOYEE PERFORMANCE IN THE OIL AND GAS PROJECTS IN YEMEN

Abstract
Innovation is increasingly recognized as a critical driver of success in today’s competitive and dynamic global economy. This study underscores the strategic importance of innovation adoption in fostering business development and enhancing organizational performance. Specifically, investments in innovation - particularly those focused on developing organizational and employee capabilities through targeted training- have been shown to significantly impact key performance outcomes. Despite growing scholarly interest, a notable gap persists in the literature regarding comprehensive reviews that explore the relationship between innovation adoption and employee performance. This paper aims to address this gap by systematically reviewing existing studies on the topic. The findings consistently indicate a positive correlation between innovation and employee performance, emphasizing innovation’s transformative potential in promoting efficiency, creativity, and sustainable growth. Moreover, the study supports the hypothesis that diverse forms of innovation contribute meaningfully to both technological and non-technological advancements, thereby improving overall organizational effectiveness.
