Operative Outcomes of Stapled, Sutured, and Magnetic Anastomosis in Bariatric Surgery: A Comparative Review

Abstract
Bariatric surgery is a well-established intervention for severe obesity and its associated comorbidities. The anastomotic technique employed is critical in determining postoperative outcomes, influencing complication rates, recovery trajectories, and long-term success. Traditional methods include stapled and sutured anastomoses, while magnetic compression anastomosis has emerged as a novel alternative. This review discusses the advantages, disadvantages, and clinical outcomes associated with each technique, drawing upon current literature to provide a comprehensive comparison.
