Analysis of the Effectiveness Chevron � Dompet Dhuafa Achievment Scholarship Program in Creating Excellent Generation as the Contribution to Society in Chevron Geotermal Salak, Ltd Area
Abstract
Indonesia's population in 2014 is 255.5 million the number of poor people are 27.7 million (Badan Pusat Statistik, 2014). More than 11% of Indonesia's population is classified as poor people so it was a big home work to reduce the percentage of poor people from year to year. The best way to break the cycle of poverty is education because education is a basic requirement that will determine the quality of human life. In 2011 Chevron chose Dompet Dhuafa as a partner to manage Chevron Achievement Scholarship Program. This is because Dompet Dhuafa (DD) is Amil Zakat Institution (LAZ), the largest in Indonesia, which has a quirk in the management of the scholarship, including mentoring programs, coaching, and empowerment of the beneficiaries. The population in this research were all the students beneficiariess of Chevron Scholarship Achievement in academic year 2012 and 2013, which are 23 students. The results achievement program based on the students� beneficiaries report which includes four aspects of assessment, namely: leadership, entrepreneurship, academic, and spiritual. The report result The average Indeks Prestasi (IP) coaching odd semester in academic year 2014-2015 to 2012 was 2.47 by predicate "Enough". Generally, the highest valued is Academic aspect was 2.60 and smallest aspect is Spiritual aspect was 2.16. Meanwhile, Leadership and Entrepreneurship aspects of the average respectively were 2.52 and 2.58. While, the average Indeks Prestasi (IP) coaching of odd semester in academic year 2014-2015 to students in 2013 was 2.72 with predicate "Enough". Generally of the highest valued was the Academic aspects 3.36 and the smallest was the Entrepreneurship aspect 1.78. Meanwhile, the Leadership aspect 3.10 and Spiritual aspect 2.66.
