Abstract
According to whether it relies on democracy, the political party system can be divided into classical party system and modern party system. The classical political party system belongs to the non democratic party system, in which the political participation of the public and the degree of organization of political parties are very low, and Party activities mainly exist in state institutions. The modern political party system belongs to the democratic party system, in which there is a close relationship between political parties and ordinary people, and the people have a wide range of political participation. The degree of political party organization in modern political party system is very high, and a relatively complete political party organization has been established. The electoral party system takes competitive election and voting activities as the main way to achieve democracy, and the consultative party system takes extensive and in-depth democratic consultation as the main way to achieve democracy.
