Carbon Membranes for CO2, N2 and CH4 Separation: Case Study

Abstract
In recent years, carbon-based materials, especially carbon membranes, have gained considerable attention in separation processes, particularly for gas and liquid separation. Their unique properties—such as high surface area, selective permeability, and chemical stability—make carbon membranes highly effective for various industrial applications. This article explores the fundamental principles of carbon membrane technology, highlighting its advantages and diverse applications in both gas and liquid separation. Additionally, we will review several studies that showcase the practical use and performance of carbon membranes in different separation contexts.
