Paper Title
Dynamic Solar Radiation Transmittance Modulation by Electrochromic Materials
Abstract
The ability to dynamically modulate the solar radiation transmittance by exploiting miscellaneous electrochromic materials involves several interesting physical and chemical processes from both a fundamental and a technological viewpoint. An important application area of these electrochromic materials is as colour-changing layers in smart windows in energy-efficient buildings. This study presents experimental results based on the electrochromic materials polyaniline (PANI), prussian blue (PB) and tungsten oxide (WO3) incorporated in a solid-state smart window being able to change between a transparent state and a bluecoloured state upon application of an external voltage.
