Analyzing Timely Completion Challenges In Dubai’s Construction Projects

Abstract
This paper presents the challenges of construction delays in Dubai’s residential projects, focusing on their root causes, impacts, and mitigation strategies. Using qualitative methods, insights were gathered from interviews with industry stakeholders, including project managers, contractors, engineers, and consultants. These discussions revealed the primary drivers of delays, such as resource shortages, regulatory compliance hurdles, and procurement and supply chain management inefficiencies. and identify delays across the construction lifecycle. Additionally, phase-specific delays across the construction lifecycle and the involvement of various stakeholders at each stage were assessed to provide a holistic understanding of the issue. The findings offer actionable recommendations to enhance project management practices and improve the timely completion of residential construction projects in Dubai.
