Paper Title
EXPLORING THE ADOPTION OF GREEN BONDS IN SAUDI ARABIA: OPPORTUNITIES AND CHALLENGES
Abstract
In this research, we explore the experiences of countries in using green bonds, especially Saudi Arabia, and how Saudi Arabia benefits from green bonds. By reviewing the literature on green bonds at the regional and global levels, we review the role of Saudi Arabia in green bonds and their emergence with official bodies such as the Ministry of Finance and the Public Investment Fund. The study emphasizes the importance of benefiting from previous experiences in countries around the world, with the ability of decision-makers to achieve financial sustainability and find economic alternatives and not rely on oil as the sole source of income. With the change in the economic trend and the ability to face economic challenges, how will the Kingdom adopt green bonds? What are the opportunities and challenges for green bonds in Saudi Arabia? Finally, the results of the research will have a positive and guiding impact on policy makers, regulatory bodies and investors regarding the development of green bonds.
