Paper Title
DEVELOPMENT OF A ROBOTIC ARM CONTROL TRAINING KIT FOR INDUSTRIAL APPLICATIONS
Abstract
This article presents the design of a 4-axis robotic arm training set, featuring three stepper motors to control the waist, elbow, and shoulder movements, and an RC servo motor for the gripper. The programming was implemented in Python, with a Raspberry Pi board serving as the primary control unit, enabling operation via a touch screen interface. The Raspberry Pi functions as the "brain" of the robotic arm, managing its movements and tasks, while the touch screen interface provides a user-friendly control method. In terms of functionality, the robotic arm can grasp objects and repeat specified movements according to programmed conditions. The testing involved using the arm to pick up cylindrical objects. The results demonstrated that the robotic arm was able to consistently pick up objects from designated positions and place them accurately at the set locations, except in instances where an obstruction hindered its movement.
