A Study of Concept Attainment in Economics Among The Students of Standard Xi In Some of The Selected Schools in Chennai

Abstract
This study investigates the concept attainment in Economics among standard XI students in Chennai. A descriptive study design was employed, and a sample of 1000 students from 24 selected schools was selected. The results show that students’ concept attainment in Economics is influenced by their socio-economic status, study habits, and economic attitude. The study also reveals that students who use active learning strategies and have a positive economic attitude tend to achieve higher concept attainment in Economics. The findings of this study have implications for educators, policy makers, and researchers seeking to improve Economics education in India.
