A DEVELOPMENT OF REAL-TIME MACHINE TRACKING AND MONITORING DEVICE
Abstract
The demand for development towards Industry 4.0 is continuously increasing. However, due to the limitations of machinery in industrial factories that cannot transmit data, the concept of applying Internet of Things (IoT) technology in factory development has emerged. This document presents a method for transmitting data from machines using the low-cost ESP32 microcontroller and the Message Queuing Telemetry Transport (MQTT) protocol over Wi-Fi within the factory area to send real-time machine operation status. This system works with Node-RED to manage data and display operational results through a dashboard, while all operational status and data are stored in a MySQL database, serving as the primary database system. This system allows employees to remotely monitor machine statuses without needing to be physically present, effectively reducing the number of employees required for on-site machine supervision.
