EVALUATING SUSTAINABLE AGEING: AN AI ASSISTED REVIEW

Abstract
The increasing global population of older adults necessitates a focus on sustainable ageing. This paper explores the concept of sustainable ageing, its key dimensions, and the challenges in measuring it. The review was carried out with the use of Scopus AI. Key dimensions of sustainable ageing include environmental sustainability, social embeddedness, and health system responsiveness. Measuring sustainability requires a comprehensive approach, encompassing various indicators and methodologies. However, challenges such as inconsistent definitions, limited theoretical frameworks, and a narrow focus on positive outcomes hinder accurate measurement. As a support to the process, technology offers a promising avenue for addressing these challenges. Gerontechnologies and digital solutions can enhance the quality of life for older persons, optimize healthcare delivery, and reduce environmental impact.Future research should delve deeper into the measurement of sustainable ageing, considering the evolving needs of older populations and the potential of technological advancements to promote sustainable and fulfilling lives.
