HEALTH RISK TRENDS AROUND MINING INDUSTRIES: A BIBLIOMETRIC APPROACH
Abstract
Health risks associated with mining industries are a significant concern due to environmental exposure to hazardous substances, which can have substantial health impacts on nearby communities. This bibliometric study aims to analyze publication trends on health risks surrounding mining industries from 1975 to 2024, assess the impact of international collaborations across various journals, identify the most influential authors and articles, and forecast future developments in this field. The study encompasses 641 articles retrieved from the Scopus database, with analyses conducted using Vosviewer and Tableau software. The results reveal a notable increase in publications related to health risks around mining industries. The United States emerges as the leading contributor, with the highest number of publications and the most influential researchers in this domain. Additionally, keyword analysis highlights "heavy metal exposure," "impact," and "public health" as central topics in this research area. These findings serve as a crucial reference for understanding the current state of research and offer guidance for future studies in this field.
