Paper Title
PROTOTYPE DESIGN OF IOT BASED SORTING RAW ARECA NUT FOR AGRI-FARMER

Abstract
The traditional manual sorting process for areca nuts is labour-intensive, time-consuming, and prone to human error, resulting in inconsistencies in quality. To address these challenges, this project proposes an IoT-based sorting system using a TCS3200 colour sensor and servo motors controlled by an Arduino microcontroller. The system sorts areca nuts based on their colour, which indicates ripeness and quality, increasing precision, productivity, and profitability while reducing labour costs and providing valuable data insights. The proposed system demonstrates a feasible approach to automating the sorting process using affordable and accessible technology. This project leverages Internet of Things (IoT) technology to revolutionize the traditional manual sorting process for areca nuts. By integrating a TCS3200 colour sensor and servo motors with an Arduino microcontroller, the proposed IoT-based system enables real-time sorting and grading of areca nuts based on their colour, a key indicator of ripeness and quality. The system's IoT capabilities facilitate remote monitoring, data analytics, and process optimization, resulting in enhanced efficiency, productivity, and decision-making. testing shows promise, and further refinements are being made to optimize accuracy and efficiency for commercial applications. This innovative solution aims to be cost-effective, scalable, and adaptable for use by small to medium-sized farmers and producers, transforming the areca nut sorting process and improving the overall quality of the sorted nuts.
