APPLICATION OF ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE AND MACHINE LEARNING FOR THE IMPROVEMENT OF SAFETY AND ROAD TRAFFIC IN ALBANIA
Abstract
This study aims to examine the role and potential of artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) in improving road safety and traffic. Road traffic safety and control are fundamental challenges for modern societies. The application of advanced technologies such as AI and ML can provide efficient and innovative solutions to these issues. In this paper, the use of artificial intelligence and machine learning algorithms in the road traffic environment will be analyzed, including various traffic data such as speed, accident events, and other traffic patterns. This field of study was selected referred to the importance of road safety in the daily life of Albanian citizens. Considering the chaotic traffic and road accidents, which are one of the main sources of death and serious injuries in the world, especially in developing countries like Albania, the need for technological solutions is essential. This paper study will examine methodologies to process and predict potential traffic and accident events using ML and IA techniques. It is important to identify challenges and opportunities for the future, also suggesting directions for further research in this direction.
