DIGITAL CAPITAL OF ADULT LEARNERS IN EVENING HIGH SCHOOLS IN GREECE
Abstract
The present study examines the digital capital of adult learners in evening High Schools in Western Greece. In order to develop a conceptual framework for this study, we drew upon the theoretical work of Bourdieu, with a particular focus on the concepts of capital, field and habitus. The following section presents the findings of a survey conducted on a sample of 153 adult learners enrolled in evening High Schools at the upper secondary education level. The findings indicate that the learners in the sample exhibit low levels of digital literacy and restricted access to technology.
