Abstract
This article explores the relationship between traditional painting and contemporary painting, focusing on the close connection between impressionist colors and Chinese painting and the contemporary development of Chinese painting. Impressionist painting emerged in France in the 19th century and spread rapidly. In the context of globalization, its emphasis on the importance of light and color began to influence Chinese art. The impact of impressionist colors on Chinese painting is reflected in the transformation of color concepts and the integration of techniques. Impressionist colors brought about the transformation of color concepts in Chinese painting and the integration of painting techniques, which has had a wide and profound impact on the current art field. The development of Chinese painting has gone through stages such as introduction and exploration, growth and development, style unification, diversification, and personalization, forming a unique style.
