Paper Title
BUSINESS ENTERPRISE RESOURCE PLANNING SYSTEMS ISSUES OF A HIGH FAILURE RATE AND PROBABLE RESOLUTIONS
Abstract
Many businesses have implemented Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, and the idea of Critical Success Factors (CSF) has become increasingly popular as a solution to the difficulties that these systems provide. However, setting up of ERP is a grim process, and there have been several accounts of ERP systems that have either underperformed or failed, in contrast to their successful deployment in the past. The use of CSFs to ameliorate this problem has been extensively studied. However, this potential solution has not yet been fully exploited. This article, proposes a novel converse approach in view of the CSFs of ERP systems. This strategy, in conjunction with an exhaustive analysis of the relevant literature, investigates the high failure rate of ERP System deployment in accordance with CSF in order to give a united front with which to combat these occurrences. The findings indicate that CSF mirrors the variables that determine success or failure, proposing a cohesive approach to tackle ERP system challenges instead of the present different understanding of these concepts for the explicit goal of achieving ERP implementation efficiency. It also acts as a theoretical and practical reference point to assist ERP developers, researchers, and practitioners in their ERP-related endeavors.
