Paper Title
Application of Submerged Plates to Control Sedimentation In The Mouth of The Lateral Catchment in Sewage Collection Networks

Abstract
Lateral catchments are one of the most practical hydraulic structures that are used by hydraulic engineers for various purposes such as flow measurement, energy dissipation, flow deflection, water level regulation and control of wastewater flow level in the wastewater collection network. In lateral catchments, the control threshold is located next to and parallel to the main channel and as soon as the water level rises to a figure higher than the catchment threshold, water deviates to the side channel. An easy way to increase lateral intake performance is to use submerged conductor blades. To investigate the effect of submerged blades in preventing sediment from entering the lateral catchment, numerical simulation of a laboratory model performed in the hydraulic laboratory of the Department of Water Engineering, Faculty of Agriculture, Isfahan University of Technology was used. The flow will be discussed. The results showed that the presence of conductor blades before the intake of the intake with an average angle increases the input sediment by 57% and the sediment entry in the presence of conductor blades with 3 blades in each row compared to the presence of a blade in Each row decreases.
