Occupational Accident Factors in the Electrical Sector in the Uraba, East and Low Cauca Regions Between 2016 and 2023

Abstract
An investigation was developed to verify the behavior of accidents in a company dedicated to electric power, in three regions that have around 700,000 inhabitants, for the electric power work process there are around 324 employees, and during 2016 and 2023, 166 accidents occurred to people in the exercise of their work. Objective: To analyze the occupational accidents that occurred in a company in the electrical sector in the regions of Bajo Cauca, Oriente and Urabá in the Department of Antioquia during the period 2016 - 2023. Methodology: Qualitative approach with a correlational level, retrospective databases of occupational accidents were analyzed between 2026 and 2023. Results: It was possible to find that occupational accidents in the regions have a decreasing behavior, it is expected that 9 accidents will occur weekly and they are decreasing by a somewhat imperceptible figure. Conclusions: It was possible to find that variables such as age, sex, type of position, education, being the head of the family and lack of economic activity influence the accident rate.
