INTEGRATION OF MULTICULTURAL EDUCATION VALUE IN PELA-GANDONG CULTURE IN MALUKU,INDONESIA

Abstract
Diversity is a sunnatullah, this phenomenon we must believe in as servants of Allah. The logical consequence of the existence of multicultural is not to be debated but so that humanity can know and understand each other. Pela Gandong is one of the cultural heritage of Moluccan's ancestors to live a multicultural life. The purpose of this study is to analyze the integration of multicultural educational values in the relationship and interaction between pela and gandong in Maluku. The method in this study is descriptive qualitative research and data collection techniques with online interviews and observations. Data analysis using an anthropological approach is then integrated with a normative approach. The results of this study show that Pela Gandong has a deep meaning in multicultural dynamics in Indonesia, especially in the Maluku region. Pela-Gandong means brotherhood or eternal friendship, The meaning of pela gandong includes the principle of mutual support and togetherness.This concept emphasizes on aspects 1). the value of togetherness, 2). please help, 3). tolerance, and 4). loyalty between the groups involved.
