INFLUENCE OF LITERATURE IN GETTING BETTER PRESENTATION SKILLS
Abstract
The art of presentation is generally extracted from literature and about the culture of human nature. The purpose of presentation is to make a note between understanding the meaning of title and deep understanding of the subject usage which it deals with. Literature is the crossroads between apprising, enticing, and linking presenters to audiences. Influence of literature emerge the standard of presentation to break the ice of facts. Presentation skills intrude in many essential roles in day today life; explaining the process of one’s own thought towards a group, proving individuality by highlighting your strengths and achievements, pleasing the minds of the clients in business, projection of projects, etc.
The perfect presentation deals with personality and purpose, the response of the audience, the communication, confidence of the presenters mainly focuses on the delivered information and the development, determination. We will identify with the Caesar’s funeral speech of Antony in Julius Caesar how Literature influences in creating great public speakers.
Purpose of allowing Antony to deliver a speech in funeral is to project the strength, trustworthiness and to make the populace to be convinced over Brutus and his associates (Good countrymen, let me depart alone, And, for my sake, stay here with Antony:..), indeed the purpose of Antony in front of the citizens reveals the reality of the assassination and the secrets behind it(I speak not to disprove what Brutus spoke, But here I am to speak what I do know.).
The purpose takes the speaker to audience; every presenter should aware of their listeners’. The presentation has to attract the audience(Third Citizen. There's not a nobler man in Rome than Antony.), of course they are like vapour of a tea which dissolves when it’s cold. Audience directs the presenter to information; a presentation with information will stay like plasma in vein and enhance the listeners to use in future references and improvements(He hath brought many captives home to Rome Whose ransoms did the general coffers fill: Did this in Caesar seem ambitious?). Improper usage of word demolishes the whole presentation by denoting as poor communication(As Caesar loved me, I weep for him; as he was fortunate, I rejoice at it; as he was valiant, I honour him: but, as he was ambitious, I slew him.). To encircle the best presentation by observing all the above stated four techniques the presenter’s determination and the listener’s development will step towards the fortune of learning (I speak not to disprove what Brutus spoke, But here I am to speak what I do know.).
