Rural Schools Governance with Different Models: Cases of Taiwan

Abstract
This study explores how rural schools in Taiwan integrating resources through cross-school alliances to address challenges related to educational equity. Based on educational governance, the research investgates schools network, collaboration, alliance, and merging as key domains. By illustrating government policies and practices, the study identifies beneficial resource integration patterns for rural school alliances. Methods include document analysis and field studies. Findings highlight evolving governance practices in Taiwan and propose two resource-sharing models. Keywords - Alliance, Cooperation, Educational Governance, Rural Area Schooling.
