INCIDENTS AND PROBLEMS IN ATHLETICS THROWERS-ARTICLE REVIEW
Abstract
Sports Athletics is one of the most popular sports in the world. Since gaining professional status in 1995 there has been a rapid growth in research in sports science. The reviews of the area would provide practitioners and researchers with an overview of the current scientific literature to support the performance of players and reduce incidental problems. Athletics is estimated to be played by more than 50 million people worldwide, but there is evidence of high incidence. A thorough understanding of the types and rates of athletic throw incidence and problems is essential for effective management and prevention strategies to be developed and implemented. This systematic review summarizes the published findings concerning problems and incidences among the athletes and throwers, participant characteristics, and any identified risk factors for athletic thrower’s incidental problems.
