The Future Expected Use of Artificial Intelligence in waha Petroleum Company in Libya
The integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) into the oil and gas industry represents a transformative opportunity for enhancing operational efficiency, optimising resource management, and ensuring safety. This paper explores the prospective applications and benefits of AI within waha Petroleum Company, a key player in Libya’s energy sector. We examine how AI technologies such as machine learning, predictive analytics, and robotics can revolutionise various aspects of the company’s operations, including exploration, production, maintenance, supply chain optimisation, and environmental management. Through detailed analysis, we highlight potential gains in efficiency, cost reduction, and safety while also addressing the challenges of data quality, workforce readiness, cybersecurity, and regulatory compliance.
