Paper Title
Antimicrobial Activity of Bacteriocin Produced by Novel Marine Lactococcus Lactisnan6399
Abstract
due to human health problems caused by bacterial infection, the use of antibiotics has increased in the last decades, around the world. This has led to antimicrobial resistance, which generates risks to human health and the environment. So that there is a great demand to use an alternative to improve human health withoutaffecting the environment. The use of probiotic organisms has been planned as an alternative to these antibiotics, as these beneficial bacteria can produce antimicrobial peptides, such as bacteriocins, which allow inhibition effects against pathogenic microorganisms. The bacteriocin of marine Lactococcus lactis, were tested against pathogenic strains, such as Escherichia coli, Staphylococcus aureus, Bacillus coagulans and Enterococcus faecalis to investigate the ability of these marine derived bacteriocin as antimicrobial compounds which provide a great alternative to the traditional antibiotics. Those peptide compounds can additionally be used as natural antimicrobial compounds in the food industry. Also, we perform complete sequencing, analysis, and protein identification of these bacteriocin.
