Email, a vital mode of communication in our in- terconnected world, is susceptible to cybercriminals utilizing phishing and social engineering attacks. Email analysis involves extracting header information to assess emails for suspicious el- ements, such as sender, recipient, and attachments. This analysis can be conducted manually or aided by tools like rule-based filters,machinelearning,naturallanguageprocessing(NLP),and behavioralanalytics.Phishingremainsprevalentandchallenging to detect, making email analysis a crucial skill. While automated tools exist, manual analysis is valuable for those without budget or technical expertise.This skill is beneficialbeyond security and IT roles.
