Paper Title
THE IMPACT OF GAMIFICATION ON STUDENT MOTIVATION

Abstract
Gamification is one of the ways to intangibly reward students, and they always remain satisfied. Nowadays, many educational organizations are introducing game-based learning using ready-made LMS platforms with built-in gamification elements. Since this arouses great interest among students and perhaps they will begin to study independently at their own request. Using gamification elements in learning will make it more interesting and will also help you remember the educational material better. One of the most important elements of gamification is instant feedback with clarification of measurable data (level, number of points, etc.). This will help students track their progress and motivate them to correct their gaps. Being currently a teacher at a university and having extensive experience as a high school teacher, one can see a big difference in teaching methods between university and school. In school, you make more effort to motivate students by planning a lesson using various active learning methods including various games. Although LMS Moodle has been implemented and used at the university for several years, students in the experimental group do not have experience using the platform’s plugins for gamification. This paper examines how gamification of education affects student motivation. The experiment involves 2nd year students of the pedagogical specialty “Bachelor of Mathematics and Computer Science”. The results of the study show that gamification of education increased students' interest and motivation in learning, which led to an improvement in their academic performance.
