“DEFENDING IOT DATA: SECURING SENSITIVE INFORMATION IN CONNECTED DEVICES”

Abstract
The rapid growth of Internet of things (IOT) devices brought about a new stage of connectivity and convenience. However, this interconnected scenery is accompanied by significant security challenges. Looking at the security of IOT data is vital for protecting sensitive information within IOT Ecosystem. IOT data is sensitive information and maintaining IOT data is very important for protecting the probity of ecosystem. IOT refers to the network of interconnected devices, vehicles, home appliances and other objects lodged with sensors, software’s and connectivity which provides them a permit to collect data and exchange over the internet. IOT also allows everyday objects to send and receive data with the help of internet connection Ensuring security of IOT devices is crucial because it helps to protect the data they collect and also the devices which are interconnected. There is no proper security measures these devices can be vulnerable to cyber-attacks which further leads to the potential risks such as unauthorized access, privacy, Malware and also physical Tampering in certain cases. Therefore, security of IOT devices not only helps in preventing sensitive information but it also maintains an operational continuity and builds trust among users. This paper discusses about the critical issue of IOT data security and aiming to identify common vulnerabilities.
