PRINCIPAL LEADERSHIP STRATEGY IN FACING THE DIGITAL ERA 4.0
Abstract
In the era of advances in information and communication technology, information that was previously in analog
form is now switching to digital format. This transformation takes advantage of advances in digital technology which allows
information to be accessed and carried out via the internet network. Schools as creators of human resources must be able to
produce individuals who are ready to compete nationally and globally. As the highest policy holder in the school, the
principal has a big role in providing this strategy. Success and failure in leadership is a responsibility that must be prepared
for and predicted. The method used in this research is a literature search from an electronic database, namely Google
Scholar, published between 2022 and 2023. This literature research aims to examine the impact of digitalization in the use of
available digital technology tools. The results of data analysis of school principal leadership strategies in facing the digital
era 4.0 are: 1) Improving the quality of human resources in the ICT sector; 2) Openness to developments to face things that
will happen in the 4.0 era; 3) Quick reactions to changes in the 4.0 era; 4) Process and results oriented.
