Wastewater Management Model of Samut- Prakan Local Administrative Organisation, Thailand

Abstract
The research aims to study the wastewater management model of Samut Prakan local administrative organisation of Thailand. The results showed that Samut Prakan province does not utilize wasterwater disposal system but installed grease trap to intercept waste from households and stores. The community has various policies and projects on wasterwater management such as “Nuk Sueb Sai Num” or water investigator project. The provincial wastewater management system left the natural water sources at a potentially good level. Factors affecting wastewater management are ‘visionary executives who place great emphasis on the environment; sufficient budgeting; allocation of responsible unit; clear policy, plan, and project on environmental management; good community leaders; and a community that participates in problem solving, decision making, and activities concerning the Subdistrict Municipality.
