Designing Logo and Packaging to Increase The Competitiveness of Local Cloth Community Enterprises. Udon Thani Province, Thailand

Abstract
This research aims to (1) design symbols and packaging, and (2) market test symbols and packaging for the Khiri tied-dyed fabric products in Nayoong District, Udon Thani Province. The objective is to increase the value of the products and enhance competitiveness by utilizing distinctiveness and local identity, while being suitable for current market conditions. The sample groups used in this study include (1) 10 stakeholders whose needs for symbols and packaging were analyzed through Focus Group Discussion, and (2) 100 consumers of Khiri tied-dyed fabric products in Nayoong District, Udon Thani Province, whose market feedback was collected through a questionnaire. The research findings indicate that (1) both the Khiri tied-dyed fabric group and consumers desire symbols and packaging that stand out with unique characteristics, convey product meanings, represent natural elements, protect products from damage, and are suitable for current market channels. (2) The market testing results based on consumer feedback show a high level of satisfaction overall.
